StudyGarden Privacy Policy

StudyGarden is a Discord bot. This policy explains what it stores, why, and how you can have it deleted.

What we store

When you use StudyGarden, we store only what the bot needs to work:

• Discord IDs: your user ID, and the IDs of the servers and channels where you use the bot. We do not store your username, avatar, email or messages.
• Focus sessions: which plant you chose, how long you focused, start and end times, and whether the plant grew or withered.
• Progress: seeds, streaks, owned plants and pets, and your chosen theme and pets.
• Settings: your time zone, and server settings chosen by server admins (e.g. an announcement channel).
• Deadlines: the name you type, the due time, and your reminder choice.
• Premium status: whether you have Premium and when it ends. Payments are handled by the payment platform (e.g. Ko-fi or Discord). We never see your card or bank details.

StudyGarden does not read message content or listen to voice channels.

How we use it

Only to run the bot’s features: growing your garden, streaks, stats, leaderboards, reminders and Premium perks. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything else.

Where it is stored and for how long

Data is stored in a database on a cloud server that only the bot’s developer can access.

• Deadlines are deleted automatically 7 days after they are due.
• Other data is kept while you use the bot, so your garden and progress aren’t lost.
• Daily backups are kept for 14 days, then deleted.

Deleting your data

To have all your data deleted, contact us (below) with your Discord user ID. We will delete it within 30 days; copies in backups disappear within 14 days after that. You can remove individual deadlines anytime with /deadline remove.

Children

StudyGarden follows Discord’s minimum age requirements. You must meet Discord’s minimum age to use it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above. Continuing to use the bot means you accept the updated policy.
